Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, also known as Atlanta Airport, Hartsfield, or Hartsfield–Jackson, is an international airport 7 miles (11 km) south of downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The busiest airport in the world, it is named after former Atlanta mayors William B. Hartsfield and Maynard Jackson. The airport has 192 gates: 152 domestic and 40 international. ATL covers 4,700 acres (1,902 ha) of land and has five parallel runways.
